P.S L.A I Love You!

For my first night in LA, I had an amazing diner at Soho House West Hollywood with my L.A based friends, been to Chateau Marmont for drinks and went to a party on Sunset Boulevard with the most known and talented electronic french duo in the world… get lucky ;)! So OUI, L.A is still the city of dreams!!!

One week where I really did what I like the most there: Having my morning juice in terrace at Urth Caffe, hiking in the Hollywood Hills, driving on Sunset Boulevard, shopping on Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, going to see a basketball game in the legendary Staples Center, eating DELICIOUS seafood in Malibu, having diner in le patio at Chateau Marmont, staying at Le Petit Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills, spending time on Melrose and much more…..

A special “clin d’oeil” to my friend Bénédicte with who I spent this crazy journey ❤

James Franco x James Dean – “Rebel” exhibit at the MoCA L.A

Actor, director, writer… James Franco is a multi-talented artist! While being in LA last week, I had the curiousity and pleasure to have a look at his new art project.

“Rebel” was created by James Franco himself with Douglas Gordon, Harmony Korine, Damon McCarthy, Paul McCarthy, Terry Richardson, Ed Ruscha and Aaron Young.

The avant-garde exhibition is a mixture of mediums including film, video installation, photography, painting, drawing and sculpture, inspired by the movie “Rebel Without a Cause” featuring James Dean.

It was taking place at the JF Chen in Hollywood. The place was transformed into vignettes modeled after the Chateau Marmont. Often referred simply as to the Chateau, it marks it’s place in Hollywood history by not only being the auditioning location for James Dean’s role in the classic film “Rebel Without a Cause” but by being replicated and inspiring the whole exhibit model for “Rebel” after the same film.

The highlight?  One six-minute video involves a gang of girls on BMX bikes flailing machetes at Franco while he holds aloft a severed prosthetic head of Dean.

In collaboration with MOCA, the James Franco Rebel exhibit continues through June 23rd, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am – 5pm at 941 North Highland Avenue, Los Angeles. Admission is free. Definitely something to check-out!

Cartes Postales from the Golden Coast Part II – Vegas/Grand Canyon/LA

Let’s continue to share with you this incredible adventure! After few days in L.A we had the chance to discover Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. Two different things that you have to see once in your life!

I was not that much into the money games and the glitters of Vegas (even if I enjoyed a lot this party on the Palms‘ rooftop called Ghostbar!).

Grand Canyon was one of the most beautiful thing that I’ve seen til now, the immensity and purity of the place let me without voice.

Then we came back to LA, to spend few hours at  the Chateau Marmont before leaving the city with the head in the stars… ❤

Cartes Postales from the Golden Coast – Part I/L.A

In my head L.A was an ideal,  a place where you can realize all you want, a golden city where dreams come true…

I never thought that I could like it as much! I found a little paradise underneath the sun, I know it’s so cliché but it’s right, we just wanted to cry all days long: ” FREEEEDOM”!

This post is the first part of the adventure, from Beverly Hills to Chateau Marmont, from Hollywood Hills to Venice Beach, follow me into the City of Angels and enjoy xx
